It is April already! How did that happen?!
I am enjoying the journey of 2013 but it is going too fast! Despite my excitement and eagerness to get to the next destination….. (Howzit Cape Town!) …. and commence the next chapter, I still want to revel in the time I have left in Melbourne.
All of a sudden there seems to be so much to see and do! Sometimes when we live some where we forget to notice what is right in front of us. Perhaps only when a visitor comes to town do we decide to visit some of the famous sights that have just blurred into the everyday background for us, yet are so new and inspiring to some one who has yet to see them for the first time.
Well I intend on making the most of all the details over the next couple of months. Easter gave me some precious time to explore some of the Victorian countryside. Although for me (being British) April means that Spring is sprung and Summer should be on its way…(forever hopeful even though it is probably still freezing in England in April!). However living down under it means Autumn is turning and Winter is coming. Either way I love the changing seasons and I am comforted, coming from Yorkshire, by the changing weather patterns in Melbourne including the possibility of four seasons in one day! Seriously it is that crazy!
Out walking over the weekend I noticed the landscape was looking some what thirsty and parched after the hot summer months, including nine days straight when it hit over 30 degrees celcius! The cool change will be a welcome relief for nature to nurture itself once more.
